Better situational awareness for emergency management and urban planning are supported by 3D building models and being able to accurately provide “Z” value. Using AI/ML one is able to classify large volumes of existing USGS lidar data to create 3D building models and additional classes in a cost effective way which allows for a broader use case of existing lidar data. Emergency management teams benefit greatly from the use of 3D building models and “Z” value of the caller location and with the use of better visualization GIS tools responders are able to respond more efficiently.
